Professional Training

Here at Hoffman’s we have an interest in turning out capable, qualified, and safe students. In the interest of these goals, our Pistol Safety Course consists of six hours of classroom training involving safe gun handling, legal issues, and basic firearms discussion and a 50 question written test. The range portion includes live fire of pistols and revolvers, safe gun handling, & introductory target and defense training.

We now offer classes to obtain a Utah non-resident Concealed Carry Permit. Classes are held on the last Tuesday of each month from 5 to 9pm. Cost is $100.00.

WHY UTAH?
The state of Utah has reciprocal agreements with a number of other states, and their permit is recognized by many more states in the US affording you the opportunity to carry your firearms in as many as 29 different states WITH A SINGLE CARRY PERMIT.

The following states currently accept the Utah non-resident permit;

Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Georgia, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, Washington State, West Virginia, Wyoming

Some states like New Hampshire, Florida and Colorado have reciprocity with Utah but it is limited to resident permits only. This information changes occasionally so you need to stay up to date with changes.

In addition to our Pistol Permit Course, Hoffman's offers several other classes, including our Shooting Fundamentals class, our Blue Card and Recertification classes, as well as private lessons.
